Several days ago, in photography class, I asked a guy to help me hold the reflector in order to capture a photo for my portrait assignment. He looked at me like I was joking and said, “F^@k you!” I was surprised because nobody has ever said that to me before...but I was also angry that he was so disrespectful. Flashbacks came back to me from Winter Camp when I was in Grade 8.
That day, we gathered in the living room for a session. If anyone looked around, you would see all the girls on the floor and all the guys on the couch. My counselor instructed to all the guys that this world works with the “Ladies first system.” Quickly, all the boys sat on floor...
This society has been revolving around the “Ladies first” mentality but I think it should still exist today. Little things like holding the door, or helping ‘set up’ are things that guys SHOULD help out with. This ONE camp was a drastic change for the 8 guys that attended. After that, they were a lot more respectful toward girls (in general)...
Back to photography class, I hope that THAT guy learns HOW TO RESPECT because what he said to me was M-E-A-N....

failure. The way I feel about myself today...I did a horrible job and my head is filled with regret. I want to go back and do it all over again but that's simply impossible. Bible study yesterday was a big mess! I felt like I was speaking about the bible but not being productive about it. My group deserved a better bible study leader and a better bible study. I apologize to my group that they had to sit through that. I apologize to my pre-study leaders for butchering their prestudy like that...but most of all, I owe an apology to God.         As a long-time asian drama viewer, my friends, family members and I always critique television shows for depicting unrealistic lifestyles and showcasing illogical love stories. Hospital Playlist is a clear exception, as it illustrates the life of five long-time friends who meet in medical school. They eventually wind up working as surgeons in Yulje Hospital. As they deal with the emotional roller coaster that comes with being a doctor, Professor Song-hwa, Ik-Joon, Jun-wan, Seok-Hyung and Jeong-Won also tackle normal life as a 40 year old. Just like ordinary humans, we often forget that doctors are also succumb to sickness, familial problems and career changes. The "slice of life" drama does not shy away from illustrating the two-fold life of a doctor- both as society's superheroes and ordinary individuals.
